Monique Duncan, 42, and Maurice Moore, 42, were pronounced dead around 6 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 1 after a domestic incident at their home in the 2500 block of Lazy Acres Road in Clinton, according to Prince George's County Police.

Two other individuals, a child and an adult, were also found in the home suffering from non life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say that they are investigating the incident as one possibly of self defense or defense of others after Moore was found with a fatal stab wound and determined that Duncan died from gunshot wounds.

All of the individuals at the scene were known to each other, and detectives are working to determine if the incident was isolated to the home.

The child and adult who were injured in the incident are currently in stable condition at a nearby hospital.
